We offer all disabled customers an additional free ticket for a carer to accompany them to this event, if required. Essential companion tickets are provided with the understanding that the carer is willing and able to assist the access customer throughout their entire stay at the event. To qualify for an Essential Companion ticket, you must also buy an Adult, Child (4-15) or Family ticket. Carer tickets may not be used in conjunction with any free event ticket, such as an Children under 4 ticket. Essential companions must arrive and leave the event with the qualifying visitor and must be able to perform all requirements as needed, including assistance during an evacuation or other emergency. People attending on an essential companion ticket must be attending with a qualifying visitor who has a valid event ticket already purchased and should be over the age of 18 unless otherwise agreed with the Access Team. Children under 4 (who qualify for a free ticket) do not also qualify for a free essential companion, as they would always be required to be under the supervision of a responsible adult. When you arrive you will be asked to produce documentation to validate your carer ticket. Accepted documentation includes: your carer ticket. Archives Car Parking

Limited car parking is available at the National Archives Car park through an exclusive partnership with Christmas at Kew. Access to the car park is available 40 minutes ahead of your Trail booking time. i.e. if your trail time is 5.30pm, you are able to access the car park from 4.50pm. The car park is accessed at Bessant Drive, just off of Mortlake Road and the postcode is TW9 4DU. This is a non-accessible option and the walking time to Elizabeth gate is approximately 11 minutes. Click here to view a map of the car park location. Cars must be removed from the car park by 10.45pm. Kew Gardens does not accept any liability for costs relating to non-removal of your car at the end of the evening. Please note National archives parking is within the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ)

Fairground Tokens

Enjoy our family fairground rides, located at the rear of Temperate House on the trail, suitable for adults and children of all ages. Tokens cost £3.50 each on the night, or pre-book to collect on the night from the token box - 6 for £18. Please note these tokens do not include entry to the Christmas at Kew event. A separate ticket is required. Only available for guests who already have Christmas at Kew tickets. Please present your fairground voucher at the token booth, to redeem your pre-paid tokens. Each token allows one ride per token

Ticket details
All tickets are subject to a single transaction charge of £2.50.
All guests, including children under 4yrs, must have their own valid ticket in order to gain entry into the event. You must bring either a printed copy or display the ticket on your phone.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Kew members may purchase up to 14 tickets at the discounted rate.
Disabled ticket holders are entitled to one free ticket for an essential companion.
Tickets are available to purchase online until 2pm on the day of the event.
Filming and photography may be taken for promotional purposes at the event.
Please note last entry to Christmas at Kew is 8:20pm. On December 24th, last entry at Brentford Gate and Elizabeth Gate is 6.20pm, with last entry at Victoria Gate at 7pm (these are new timings for 2024). Cancellations, exchanges and refunds
We are not able to offer refunds, duplicates or exchanges on unwanted tickets or tickets bought in error.
Christmas at Kew is an outside event, and cancellations will not be offered in the event of poor weather.
If extreme, unsafe weather conditions force us to cancel the event, you will be offered an alternative date. We will communicate any cancellations by 2pm on the day of the event. You will be notified by email with your options.

Refunds are dealt with on a case-by-case basis. If you are due a refund, you must return the ticket to us within 28 days of the event date.

Accessibility - Quiet Access sessions 
These sessions are suitable for visitors with hidden disabilities, such as autism, to make for a more comfortable visit whilst still benefiting from the sensory elements of Christmas at Kew. We ask that other visitors respect the quiet sessions and do not book during these limited time slots.

Trail Route
Please note this is a one-way outdoor trail of approximately 3km in distance. Due to the nature of the trail and Kew Gardens, there are very limited under-cover areas, so please dress appropriately.

Visiting Kew Gardens
This ticket does not include entry to Kew Gardens during the daytime. If you have a Christmas at Kew ticket, you can add on a reduced-entry price ticket to visit Kew Gardens.

Please note: If you are including a visit to Kew Gardens in the daytime, you will need to exit the gardens at 3pm (last entry 2pm) and then re-enter the trail at your designated entry gate and time.
